I recommend doing this before the user goes to lunch to give outlook enough time to update.

  1. In outlook go to File > Account Settings > Account Settings > Select your email > Change
  2. In the new window drag the slider to 6 months and select "More Settings"
  3. Go to the Advanced tab and uncheck "Download Shared Folders"
  4. Click Apply, then OK, then Next, then Done, Then Close
  5. Then close Outlook
  6. then paste the following into your file explorer and replace Username with your username: C:\Users\Username\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Outlook
  7. Delete the username@checkcity.com.ost file (replacing username with your username)
  8. Then go to the Recycle Bin and permanently delete that file.
  9. Then open Outlook and give it a while to update.
